Housing Options offers advice and assistance to anyone who is homeless and or fleeing domestic violence, violence or harassment. Local surgeries are held each week . Please telephone the above number for the times and venues of the surgeries.

People who are homeless (in priority need as assessed by Housing Options) will be given an application form to register with the Trust.

Homeless applicants will be offered the same choice of accommodation as everyone else however there will be a time limit on it. If they have not been successful in bidding for property within six weeks they will be expected to bid for all suitable properties. (unless there are issues when this is not appropriate). This is to ensure that homeless people are rehoused as quickly as possible.

If you have been given a priority because you are homeless you will be subject to a ‘one offer, any area’ policy after a period of 6 weeks. If you choose to refuse the property offered you will lose your Band A priority and will be placed in Band B. You will however have the right to have the decision to remove your priority reviewed as long as you write in within 28 days of receiving the offer.
